Unlike LinkedIn we love Open Networkers (ONs). IYN ONs have a mutual relationship where they share their contact information and let other members connect to them and invite them on LinkedIn.
ONs agree with and accept the following:
Open business networking is a valuable business practice.
It expands networker contacts.
The larger first-degree LinkedIn network results in many more users seeing posts and updates.
It creates a large network that can be used to identify more business prospects or job candidates.
It enables a data-rich network that can be filtered to TARGET business and job members.
Contact sharing enables members not only to target other members, but also to directly contact them via email, which is more flexible and effective.
Open Networkers openly publish their name and email to other ONs.
They generally - but are not required to - accept LinkedIn invitations. They will never mark any invitation as from a person they don’t know or report someone who sends one.
They will respect the time and resources of other ONs and not use ON contacts for indiscriminate spam.
Any abuse or action contrary to the above terms in action or intent will result in the offender’s permanent banishment from IYN and participating partners.
